6 March Day 7 – Cheltenham & Gloucester

Baker's Clock,Southgate Street, Gloucester.

Off to the Gloucester Family History Society in Gloucester with Angela, where very helpful staff showed us how to search for our ancestors.  They suggested that we search the microfiche at the Gloucester Archives across the road which we did.  Spending 3 hours in the Archives gave us the possible details of my GGGG-grandfather (hope I’ve got enough Greats in there) Edward Hunt.  We uncovered his possible marriage details to Mary Pincock/Pincot (handwriting was difficult to read) on 31 May 1803, 10 minutes before they kicked us out at 5pm.  I must go back later in the week to do some more digging.

Total Distance travelled: 10.4 miles/16.7 km
